Formalities and Documents
Arrival Clearance is required upon arrival in the first port of call.
Please note that all arms, ammunitions, alcohol, tobacco and goods must be declared.
Failure to do so will incur heavy fines.
The following documents must be supplied:
To the Gendarmerie in the first port of call:
- Detailed Passengers and Crew list to include Full Names, Dates and Places of Birth, Nationalities, Passport Numbers, and quality
- Arrival and Departure details including Flight Information for any Passengers and/or Crew arriving and/or departing separately
- Full listing of goods onboard to include Arms, Ammunitions, Alcohol, Tobacco, Animals, Plants, Fruits, etc…
- Valid Passports showing Valid Entry Visas for all Passengers and Crew for arrival stamping by Customs Authorities
To the Immigration, Customs and Port Office when entering Papeete
- Detailed Passengers and Crew list to include Full Names, Dates and Places of Birth, Nationalities, Passport Numbers, and quality
- Arrival and Departure details including Flight Information for any Passengers and/or Crew arriving and/or departing separately
- Yacht Information (please note this can be supplied online or via fax)
- Registration Information
- Health Declaration (if over 40m to be handed to port pilot)
- Full listing of goods onboard to include Arms, Ammunitions, Alcohol, Tobacco, Animals, Plants, Fruits etc…
- Valid Passports showing Valid Entry Visas for all Passengers and Crew for arrival stamping by Customs Authorities
Inter Island Clearance is required for any trips between islands within French Polynesia (excluding the island of Moorea)
The following documents are required:
- Detailed Passengers and Crew list to include Full Names, Dates and Places of Birth, Nationalities, Passport Numbers, and quality
- Programmed Inter-island Itinerary
Departure Clearance is mandatory in order to purchase export duty free fuel

- Arrival and Departure details including Flight Information for any Passengers and/or Crew arriving and/or departing separately
- Full listing of goods onboard to include Arms, Ammunitions, Alcohol, Tobacco, Animals, Plants, Fruits etc…
- Valid Passports showing Valid Entry Visas for all Passengers and Crew for departure stamping by Customs Authorities
Crew Movements: All Crew Movements must be declared to the Immigration Office, Gendarmerie or Local Agent. |
